Here is my shopping list of stuff I would buy if I had more disposable income.
2 LCD Monitors. Probably 17" Necs
A Nikon D70 Camera
An HP4150 Pocket PC
A Mac G5 with OSX
A Shuttle PC or equiv for the living room, for an "entertainment PC"
A MP3 Player. Probably a mini-iPod.
Probably more I can't think of.
I will own them all, it's just a matter of time!
Posted by Gareth at April 12, 2004 07:23 AM | TrackBackI have dual NEC 1525V LCD displays and they ROCK. Makes development that much nicer. However, one word of caution. Get a good dual head video card.. don't cheap out like I did (I have two separate cards... one is a good nvida gaming card.. the other a lame PCI no name). I am running 1024x768 on both... one at 32bit color and one at 24bit. You can really see the difference.
Now if you gaming guys could just get the games to work across both monitors... then I would be impressed ;-)

1525V are 15" are they not?
Posted by: Gareth Lewin at April 13, 2004 06:01 PMNote - Shuttles are kinda loud. There are people who sell cases specifically for home theater pc's which are pretty nice, can't remember the name offhand.
Posted by: Ian Hanschen at April 14, 2004 01:12 AMDepends on the Shuttle, the ST6164 (http://us.shuttle.com/specs2.asp?pro_id=432) for example is pretty quiet according to the reviews.
But I'm looking at the MSI Mega180 (http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=MEGA_180&class=mega) or the MSI Mega 865 (http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=MEGA_865&class=mega)
