Camera

So I have my heart set on a Nikon D70. And then Allan Bailward comes along and evangelises the Pentax *ist-D.

So now I dunno what to buy :(

It can't get much worse than this...

Well, it seems that American Television Stations will go to new lows in an attempt to get higher ratings.

It can't be more than 2 years before the first "20 people are put in a ring, each week one of them is killed, and the rest get to live in a mansion." show.

I'll dub it Big Gladiator Idol.

Well, I guess most of them don't.

A while back I asked if American's believe Fox new's rubbish. Turns out, I'm not the only one wondering that, here read this article from the Globe and Mail (A Canadian Newspaper).

*edit* This is what Bill O'Reilly has to say. This scares me.

Driving

Yesterday was a good day. Yesterday I went and did my driver's knowledge test (AKA theory test). I passed it easily. Yesterday was a good day.

Today is a bad day. I went and did the practical test. I did pretty well. I also failed. Today is a bad day.

To add insult to injury, they took my International driving license, and they won't let me retest for a week. That means that for a week I'm essentially a learner driver, and can't drive alone.

I failed because I missed a school zone sign, so was speeding (I was going 45kph in a 30kph zone). Fair enough, I made a mistake, but I'm far from a dangerous driver, but the combination of no test for a week, and the confiscation of my driving license are going to be a real problem for the week.

Today is a bad day.

Rain, rain

go away, come back another day.

Oh why can't I find a place that is as nice as Vancouver, but without all the rain?

I hate rain.

Go away.

Geek toys

Here is my shopping list of stuff I would buy if I had more disposable income.

2 LCD Monitors. Probably 17" Necs
A Nikon D70 Camera
An HP4150 Pocket PC
A Mac G5 with OSX
A Shuttle PC or equiv for the living room, for an "entertainment PC"
A MP3 Player. Probably a mini-iPod.
Probably more I can't think of.

I will own them all, it's just a matter of time!

Life is good.

I was thinking on the way home from work that people that met me while I was in the UK probably would find me strange now days. I'm pretty happy. I like my job, I like where I live, I really like Canada. Generally everything is good.
